Matching products
target decides which products, variants or slots a watcher looks at. Conditions run only on those.
Match modes
match | query | Watches |
|---|---|---|
url | A full URL | That page. Its host must be in where.sites |
sku | A GTIN, style code or ASIN | That product on every listed site |
exact | A name with its version | That version only |
line | Words | Any version or product whose name has those words |
category | Words, or attributes.category | Anything in the category |
listing | A listing URL | Dated slots, such as campsite nights |
Versions
Names are read as line, version and modifiers. "Ghost 16 GTX" is line Ghost, version 16, modifier GTX.
| Query | exact matches | exact skips |
|---|---|---|
Vomero 13 | Vomero 13 | Vomero 13 GTX, Vomero 14 |
Vomero 13 GTX | Vomero 13 GTX | Vomero 13 |
With line, any version matches, so you can add a version condition such as > 13 to catch new releases. Products without version numbers (most things that aren't shoes or software) match when the name contains your words: "Q1" matches "Keychron Q1 Max".
Attributes
attributes narrows the variants on a page:
"attributes": { "size": 10, "color": "Black" }- A list means any of them:
"size": [10, 10.5]. - Color matches whole words, so "Black" matches "Black/White-Anthracite".
- Shopify options arrive under their own names:
size, color, switches, layout. category,from,to,release_dateandopens_atdescribe the watch and don't filter variants.
Exclude
exclude drops products whose name contains a phrase as whole words. It runs before conditions.
"exclude": ["Vomero 5", "Vomero Plus"]"Vomero 5" drops "Vomero 5 SE" and keeps "Vomero 15". "Vomero Plus" also drops "Vomero Plus 2".
